Introduction :-
67km from Nainital, this picturesque hill station, at an altitude of 1650m, is famous for its exquisite temples and a rich medley of fairs and festivals. Almora also offers the visitor a healthy selection of treks which combine the pleasures of sightseeing with the spirit of adventure like the treks to Binsar - 30km, and to jageshwar -34km. Over 400 years ago it was the capital of the Chand rajas of Kumaon. Almora is larger than Ranikhet and Kausani, and has good views of the mountains and some great walks.
